Restoration is mostly invisible once it is finished. These show the middle of the job: the metering, the tear-out, the drying equipment and what the painted side of a wall never shows. That is where the work is actually won or lost.

Water Damage Restoration

Drying a wall cavity, not just the room

  • Baseboard removed and the cavity opened, because a wall that looks dry on the surface holds water in the framing behind it
  • Plastic sheeting used to channel airflow into the cavity rather than letting it wash uselessly across the face of the wall
  • An air scrubber running alongside the dehumidifier to filter what the tear-out put into the air
  • Two axial movers placed to push moisture toward the dehumidifier instead of merely stirring the room

  • Relative humidity and temperature logged on arrival, because a scope built on numbers survives a conversation with an adjuster and a scope built on impressions does not

  • Floor already stripped to the slab to find how far the moisture had travelled

  • This is the reason painting over a stain does nothing: the colony is on the surface you cannot see
  • Porous material removed rather than cleaned, because mold roots below the face of drywall and no surface treatment reaches it
  • Framing and sheathing behind it cleaned and treated rather than replaced, since non-porous surfaces can be saved

Mold Remediation

Treating a subfloor after a toilet failure

  • Clean edges left for the rebuild, because ragged lines cost more to finish than careful demo saves
